One of my personal favorite island holidays with children is the island of Rhodes, lovely sunny Beaches and many attractions for children: children's amazing water park, Butterfly Valley, wonderful, exciting itineraries, luxurious hotels ... and these are just some of the wonders of Rhodes
Cool Attractions for the whole Family:
Rhodes Water Park is the largest water park in Europe and has a range of facilities such as slides,
Tubing, a huge wave pool and facilities for small children. The park is clean, very neat and new. Reasonable price, 22 Euros for adults and 15 Euros for children up to age 12
Advisable to take the Rhodes map with you.
Arrival: The park is located in Falirki, half an hour's drive from Rhodes town and can be reached easily from anywhere on the island also there are free buses from Rhodes.
The Valley of Butterflies
A very popular attraction and is hilly recommended for Rhodes. This is actually a nature reserve with plenty of trees and a flowing river and the magnificent green valley. The valley is covered with cocoons of butterflies and a mass of butterflies. The reserve is known for its thousands of colorful butterflies
The valley is 25 km from the city, and near the village Klmonas.

Rodini Park
On the outskirts of the city of Rhodes. Here you can see peacocks and ducks along the river, winding paths, water and lots of green. Also, should reach seven springs which can be reached by public transport. This park lake and there is a tunnel that you can walk along it. Bring a flashlight and it is important to know that the water reaches about the knees. You can do hiking in the place and there are also children's play facilities.
Rhodes Road Trips
You can tour the old walled city and tourist area where are cafes, restaurants, museums and more.
In addition, you can walk in the new city of Rhodes where you will see interesting and important buildings such as the National Theatre, City Hall and more.
In the West Coast area worth visiting Castle Monolitos which was founded in the Byzantine era and was built on the edge of a cliff at an altitude of 236 meters. From the castle you can enjoy a wonderful view of the west coast of the island. On the east coast in the ancient town of Lindos (Lindos), about 50 km southeast of the city of Rhodes. The town is very popular with tourists and is well worth visiting and exploring whitewashed houses, enjoy the beaches and see the archaeological remains of interest, the main one is of course the Acropolis of Lindos ( Acropolis of Rhodes). You can go up to the Acropolis on foot or on donkeys.
The Old City is the center of entertainment and nightlife on Rhodes. Stroll the alleyways of the old city lively throughout the day and especially at night, children will benefit from wandering around. When it gets dark in summer, a pleasant and lively atmosphere and the weather gets cooler... fun!!
Colossus of Rhodes
The Colossus of Rhodes was a statue of the Greek sun-god Helios, erected in the city of Rhodes, on the Greek island of the same name, by Chares of Lindos in 280 BC.
